Dillon's 2008 Results

This weekend Dillon was back at the 61 Kartway for another regular weekly race. In qualifying, Dillon was second quickest behind Evan Epperson. After qualifying, Dillon found a bent axle on his kart, but he didn't let that minor set back deter him from a solid run Saturday. In the pre-final, Epperson jumped to the lead with Dillon right behind him. Dillon followed him for a few laps before making his move and taking the win in the pre-final. After a few more minor adjustments in preparation for the final, Dillon jumped to the early lead. Epperson was right on his bumper the whole way. Some slight confusion occurred at the end of the race as Dillon and Epperson both took the white flag, and then again took the white flag the next time by. By this time, Epperson had passed Dillon, but Dillon knew the race was not over. In the last half-lap, Dillon and Epperson were both running hard, and Dillon just barely passed Epperson to take the win. After some discussion about the white flags, Dillon was officially declared the winner. This gives him five wins on the season. There are only a few more races left in the season, and Dillon plans on bring home some more wins! Thanks for your support! --69 Motorsports

This weekend Dillon was in action with the Route 66 Series in Springfield for the final race of the season for Route 66. Friday night, Dillon was able to get a lot of practice in, and was back at the track at the crack of dawn Saturday morning. In qualifying, Dillon had the 5th fastest time out of fifteen karts. In the pre-final, Dillon was up to the fourth position with two laps to go before getting spun accidentally, and finished the pre-final in eleventh. Starting the final in eleventh, Dillon knew he had a battle to go forward. Dillon missed a wreck ahead of him at the beginning of the race, and moved to ninth, a few laps later he found himself in 6th position, and then found himself battling the ever-strong-running Josh Holtz for fifth position. Dillon took fifth and set his sights on fourth, but ran out of time as the checkered flags flew, and Dillon took fifth position and the trophy that goes with it. He finished the year in the top ten of Route 66 Series points out of 39 drivers. Next year he hopes to get a top five finish in points. We have three more weeks at 61 Kartway to finish off the season! Come out and enjoy the races sometime soon! --69 Motorsports

This weekend Dillon was back at 61 Kartway for another weekly race. In qualifying, Dillon had the fastest kart, and earned the pole position for the pre-final. Prior to the pre-final though, Dillon was warming up and ran off into the grass. He got stuck in the grass, and the race went green, forcing Dillon to sit out of the pre-final. Although Dillon was upset with himself, he moved on and was ready and focused for the final. Starting third, he knew he had to get a good jump at the start to get second and hopefully take the lead. He got the jump he needed at the start, and was following the leader the entire way. On the last lap, Dillon made a push for the lead, but held back when he heard some strange noises coming from the motor. He knew it was more important to save his motor for future races instead of risking it all for a single win. A young driver with a lot of smarts! Dillon is ready for the rest of the season. He has four more races at 61 Kartway and one more Route 66 Series race. Wish us luck the rest of the year! --69 Motorsports

Saturday was a perfectly calm and beautiful day to have a Kart race. Dillon was back at 61 Kartway hoping to take another win. The Kart-count was down a bit this weekend due to some big races that are coming up in the area. In qualifying, Dillon got second, right behind Epperson again. This is expected, as both of their motors run the exact same times. In the pre-final, Dillon and Epperson ran neck-to-neck, but Dillon was unable to get around him, but again only finished micro-seconds behind him. In the final, Dillon looked to be a bit quicker, but just could not find the opportunity to get around Epperson, ultimately settling for second place again. Both drivers are excited about the upcoming Route 66 Series final race of the season, and feel that they can get some good solid runs in. This next week Dillon is not racing, but will be cheering on Kyle Erdmann in Rock Island. Thanks again to all who have voted for Dillon on Bell Racing's website, and please encourage everyone you know to do the same. --69 Motorsports

This weekend was another weekend at 61 Kartway battling for track points. Dillon qualified second, behind Kyle Epperson again. In the pre-final, Dillon trailed Epperson throughout, and it looked as if Dillon might be able to sneak by him, but Epperson ran a good race and kept Dillon at bay. In the final, Dillon jumped to the early lead, but Epperson got him right back. Dillon and Epperson ran nose-to-tail the entire way. At this point in the season, both Dillon and Epperson are on top of their games, and it is showing. It is anyone's game each and every week. Next week, 69 Motorsports will be back at 61 Kartway hoping to take another win. If you haven't already, please go to Bellracing.com and watch Dillon's video and vote for him. Encourage all your friends to do the same! Thanks to all who have voted for us on Bellracing.com, and those that will in the future. Also, thanks to all our great sponsors, and especially Triple E, for giving us some AWESOME motors for our karts. --69 Motorsports

This weekend Dillon and his father went to Pevely, MO for a Route 66 Series race, while Dillon's mom and brother spent the weekend waiting for results in the comfort of their air-conditioned home! Dillon had high hopes for this weekend, as he wanted to finish in the top ten in his class. In qualifying, Dillon was able to bring home the sixth fastest time out of sixteen karts. Sunday morning, it started to rain, and Dillon was pretty excited about the prospect of racing in the rain. In the pre-final, Dillon had a tough start, and fell back to 8th at the beginning. He got loose later on, spinning out, but regained control quickly and was able to salvage a 10th place finish in the pre-final. In the final, Dillon had a great start, jumping to seventh place right at the start, and was able to hold his position until the checkered flags flew! It was another great weekend for 69 Motorsports! --69 Motorsports

For the third straight weekend, Dillon and the 69 Motorsports team were at 61 Kartway for weekly racing. This weekend was Mid-Season championships at 61 Kartway, and Dillon wanted to take home another win! In qualifying, Dillon was just behind Evan Epperson and got second. In the pre-final, Dillon followed closely behind Epperson again, and was able to slip by on lap six and take the win. In the final, Epperson jumped out to the lead after the first corner and was able to take the advantage over Dillon. In the end, Dillon was only .007 seconds behind Epperson. It was a hard fought race and both of them are confident for the Route 66 series race next weekend in Pevely, MO. --69 Motorsports

The 69 Motorsports team was again at 61 Kartway this weekend for a points race on a hot and humid July Saturday. It was a special weekend at 61 Kartway, as they had all competitors race backwards on the track this weekend. This is only done once a year. After the races Saturday night, the track also held a hog roast for all competitors. Out of five karts, Dillon qualified 2nd, right behind Epperson. In the pre-final, Dillon lost just one spot, and finished third. He got the jump early in the final, and was able to take second, and followed Epperson very closely throughout the entire race, ultimately ending up second. --69 Motorsports

The 69 Motorsports team was back at 61 Kartway this weekend for the weekly races. Dillon had another outstanding run, winning his fourth race of the season. It was not an easy win by any means with Epperson close behind the entire way, but Dillon ran strong and smooth and held him off for the win. Dillon tries to keep his chin up even when things are not going well, but this recent hot streak has gotten him pumped up and he knows that he can compete at any track he goes to! Come on out to the races at 61 Kartway. The next two weeks Dillon will be back home and is looking to continue his hot streak! Thanks again for all the support! --69 Motorsports

The 69 Motorsports team loaded up and headed to New Castle, IN this past weekend for the Route 66 Series race. Friday was supposed to be a day of practice, but rain the morning shortened the practice to Friday afternoon only. Saturday was quite a busy day. What is normally a two-day show was shortened to only one-day show. In the time trials, Dillon was able to qualify 11th out of 19 karts, and had a goal of moving up two positions in the pre-final. In the pre-final, Dillon acheived his goal and then some. He ended the pre-final in 7th. In the 10 lap final, Dillon was able to charge up to as high as fifth place, but ultimately settled for eigth in the final run-down. Dillon said he could have pushed the issue, but was more content to finish the race with a solid top-ten points day, instead of risking a good run for a few more positions. Sounds like a veteran already! The next three weeks, Dillon will be racing at 61 Kartway, before heading to Pevely, MO August 2-4 for a Route 66 Series race. Summer is going quick, but so is Dillon! Come catch him race sometime! Thanks to all our supporters! --69 Motorsports

Dillon was able to hold the lead through the entire finale, taking home his second win of the season at 61 Kartway! Over the July 4th weekend, Dillon Morley and the 69 Motorsports team will be in New Castle, IN to compete in another Route 66 Series event. Please wish Dillon luck this weekend! This weekend Dillon competed in the Route 66 Series race at 61 Kartway. Dillon was very excited for this race, since it is the touring series he follows, and was on his home track! He was feeling confident that he could gain a good finish. The weekend started out well. Dillon spent Friday evening practicing, and honing his skills on the track. He got a hang out one particularly tricky corner, and felt that he had a good kart for the weekend. Saturday, Dillon qualified first out of seventeen karts, and set a new track record. In the pre-finale, he finished first again, setting another track record! He was pumped and ready to go for the finale! Dillon ran strong in the finale, but in post race tech inspection, it was determined that the exhaust port was a little too big, and the officials disqualified Dillon. Dillon was disappointed, but was soon able to accept it, and is ready to show that he can win again next weekend! The team would like to thank all the fans, officials, and sponsors, especially Stan and Kyle Erdmann from Triple E for being there for Dillon during his disappointing weekend. Dillon will be racing again this weekend, and is ready to go! Thanks for all your support! --69 Motorsports

This weekend was the first racing event of the season for Dillon! Dillon traveled to Norway, Illinois for a Route 66 series race. After practice on Friday, Dillon was convinced that there was a problem with the carburetor on his kart. The team found the problem Saturday after qualifying, when the carb gave out. Dillon was still able to manage a 13th place qualifying position out of the 26 cars attending the event. In the qualifier, Dillon was trying to make progress, but on lap three, Dillon tried to avoid a wreck in front of him, but got hit himself, causing a bent axel. After some hard work and some much-appreciated help from other 61 Kartway regulars, Dillon started the feature race on Sunday in 25th. He came up through the field and was able to finish 19th, not bad for a long, cold weekend! Dillon is looking forward to his first race at 61 Kartway this weekend!
