– RACING BACKGROUND –
69Motorsports / Dillon Morley have been involved with kart racing for 6 years. 69 Motorsports Started at our local track, Sprint Kartway in Davenport, Iowa. Then Dillon advanced quickly to compete at the new track 61 Kartway and to a few Midwest series including Route 66. Dillon was born into racing, his father Timothy Morley had raced through his teenage years and young adult life at Cordova Speedway. Tim Had a '69 Barracuda and loved having his kids watch him.
When Dillon sparked an interest in racing karts, his Dad gave his hobby up to fulfill his sons dreams. Dillon had chosen The name 69 Motorsports in honor of his parents, Tim (Dad) for the '69 Barracuda and Chris (Mom) the year she was born, thus 69 Motorsports was created. The Morley family (Tim, Chris, Mike and Dillon) all travel together to the races.
Dillon has accomplish a lot throughout his 6 year career, in 2008 his video for bell racing helmets got 2nd place in the nation (all about safety and bell).
2009 Dillon placed 2nd overall for the season points at the Route 66 Series and took the championship in the Yamaha Sportsman Junior class at 61 Kartway.
2010 was a trying year for Dillon and his family, even through his dads health problems started in 2009 things got really bad for Tim in the middle of 2010 racing season. Thank god the last few years, our racing family came out to help Dillon with his racing. All of us including Dillon made a decision in the middle of the season to back off from traveling and try to get dad better. It was very hard for Dillon and the whole family but we rallied around Tim, Dillon got to race some of the races at 61 Kartway. He still came out the points championship for supercan junior class in 2010.
For 2011, Dillon is really excited to be driving his brand New Merlin chassis from Italy. Dillon will be racing 2 classes Yamaha junior light and heavy. Now that Tim is getting back on track, his health is looking very bright, as a family and team we are ready to ROCK the track.
